David Olson, 33, from the city of Muskegon in Michigan, found the balls underneath a concrete stairway at his house on Saturday, July 1 after he began demolishing the steps to work out why water kept leaking into his home. Olson had been told by an inspector that he needed to demolish the stairway to investigate the issue, and decided to do the work himself. “The inspector told me the cement pad, just off his sliding glass door, was sloping into the house,” Olson told ABC affiliate WZZM....

It is feared that the 90-year-old, identified by the family as Lawrence Bearse, may have been in the van outside the Canyon Winds Assisted Living & Memory Care facility in Mesa for as long as 20 hours after accidentally being left there by a staff member. Early Thursday, Harris County sheriff’s deputies responded to an accident outside Pinchy’s Tex Mex Restaurant on the 1200 block of Mason Road near Katy Freeway around 1 a.m. The incident started as a fight between seven or eight people inside the restaurant. Investigators say the group spilled into the parking lot when it appears the suspect drove into the crowd to break up a fight between two women involved....

Artist Zack Smithey posted his creation of Tesla using a technique called fractal wood burning to TikTok originally, but later shared it to Reddit Thursday, and has gained over 14,000 votes. “That’s truly amazing,” wrote one user. Court documents indicate that Hector Alejandro Cabrera Fuentes, 36, acted under the direction of an individual he thought was a Russian government official, the Department of Justice said. He told FBI agents he believed the individual was part of the Russian Federal Security Service, which is responsible for Russia’s counterintelligence mission, the criminal complaint says. Fuentes’ plea comes one day after a former U.S. Navy engineer pleaded guilty to attempting to sell secrets about nuclear submarines to an undisclosed foreign power, Newsweek reported, and two months after a South Dakota-based former defense contractor was charged with foreign espionage on behalf of Russia....

James Massey was charged in May 2021 with one count of using a facility of interstate commerce to incite a riot. The man was shot on a street in Streatham, South London, London’s Metropolitan Police said.
