San Diego Police Chief David Nisleit said during a Monday morning news conference that the 71-year-old man identified himself as the driver when police arrived. The driver appeared to be trying to help the victims, three of whom Nisleit said were declared dead at the scene. Six other individuals were injured in the crash, at least two of whom were taken to hospitals in critical condition, the chief said....

The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release that Andrew S. Loudon, 39, was first brought to their attention when employees of Osprey Rafting spotted “a man in a yellow dress” driving away with one of their privately owned yellow school buses on July 24. Police announced Wednesday that Loudon had been released from a local, privately-run mental health hospital on July 23. They say he was transported to a hotel near a bust station, from where he was meant to travel back home on July 24....

Joseph Vaudo, the former owner of the Superior Lobster & Seafood store in the town of Sandwich, Massachusetts, was arrested and charged with felony vandalism and illegal dumping for the incident that allegedly occurred last Thursday. In a statement posted to Facebook on Saturday, the Sandwich Police Department said that Vaudo was filmed on surveillance footage at the market turning off the oxygen supply for the lobsters. “Video surveillance from June 24th at approximately 9:18pm, showed a male party illegally throw trash in the company’s commercial dumpster then proceed to turn off the compressor and oxygen supply to the live seafood tank,” Sandwich police said....

Bryan Alexis Cifuentes Rossell was arrested Thursday by Inglewood police on a charge of felony assault, Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts said in a press conference Friday. Butts said the suspect bonded out Friday morning at 1 a.m local time on $30,000 bail. Luna, 40, was assaulted during the NFC championship game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Times....

On the evening of August 21, Krishnan Iyer went to pick up an online order for his son at a Taco Bell store in Fremont, California, when he was verbally abused and attacked for his religion by another customer, a video showed. The man insulted Iyer’s appearance and issued a string of insults against Hindus, the eight-minute clip showed. When a 17-year-old employee named Arlo Kinsey told the man that the customer needed to wear a mask, the man said he had an exemption to the governor’s order, lifted up his shirt and revealed a gun in the holster upon his hip, according to the Kansas City Star.
