Oakland County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) deputies were called to an apartment in the 10 block of Carter Street in Pontiac before midnight on Thursday, according to NBC affiliate WDIV. The network reported Docquen Jovo Watkins, 31, of Pontiac, told police he and his partner Rory Teasley, 28, also of Pontiac, had gotten into a fight over a video game. Police told WDIV the pair had been playing the competitive multiplayer game Overwatch when they became embroiled in an argument....

Officers responded to One Paraiso Residences at 3131 Northeast 7th Avenue in the Edgewater neighborhood at around 5 p.m. on Sunday, a spokesperson for the Miami Police Department told Newsweek. On arrival, they found 27-year-old Christian Tobechukwu Obumseli had been stabbed once in the chest. He was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Trauma Center, where he died. The police spokesperson said Obumseli’s girlfriend was detained at the scene and later taken to a mental health institution under Florida’s Baker Act, which allows a police officer, judge or mental health professional to involuntarily commit a person for a 72-hour evaluation....

Ocean photographer and kayaker Andy Burnell had been kayaking about a mile offshore from Grange Beach, Adelaide at the time. Burnell uses a baited GoPro to catch his underwater footage, which he calls ‘Crabecam’. This is what he did in this instance. But it was not until he arrived home that he realized a great white shark had been circling beneath him. The footage captured by Burnell shows nothing but murky water at first....

Snake catcher Nick Evans—who owns a snake removal service in the Durban area of South Africa—was called at about 9.30 p.m by a resident who spotted the python on a roadside in Cato Ridge, surrounded by houses. The snake catcher arrived to the scene to remove the serpent, but long grass and bushes meant the creature was difficult to spot. Evans and other locals joined in the search using cell phones and torches but “no python was to be found....

Local resident, Jacob Danner, spotted the fossil during an early morning walk along the Fernandina Beach shore, documenting his remarkable discovery in a video posted to Facebook. “It’s my first whole megalodon tooth. I have found fragments, which they call ‘fragalodon’ affectionately, but this one—this is a beauty,” he said. Megalodon is believed to be the biggest shark, and one of the most formidable predators, that has ever lived....

The 24-man squad for Malaysia’s two Asian Cup qualification clashes against DPR Korea next week has been announced. The two matches had been scheduled on two earlier dates this year, but diplomatic tensions involving the hermit kingdom caused them to be put off and cancelled multiple times.
